OMEGA 4

OMEGA 4 EFI

The Omega 4 is a HV fault indicator with an LCDs that provide both detailed fault data and high visibility.  Omega 4 is operated from a Bowdens Band CT or a conventional cast resin core balance CT and has user selectable CT ratios. It has user settable earth fault and overcurrent trip currents with historical fault data including date, time, type and magnitude. This provides engineers on site with invaluable data on recent faults.

The reset time can be set from 1 to 12 hours. It can be powered by a replaceable long life lithium battery giving a 10 year average life under normal operating conditions. The Omega 4 can be powered from the incoming LV mains, in which case the option for LV supply reset and directional faults is available. The unit can also be powered from an RTU DC source 6-115Vdc. The indicator is driven by high capacity super caps whilst the supply is absent. This means that no batteries are required with the LV unit or RTU powered versions. The OMEGA 4 EFI has high intensity blue OC and red EF fault LED indicators, a directional LCD flag indicator and the facility for a remote LED indicator external to the substation. It also has an alphanumeric LCD to aid both setup and to provide fault details. It has two alarm output relays with either latching, fleeting or temporary fault (multi) operation.

Features:

  • Stores up to the last six recorded faults
  • Provide EF and OC detection/indication
  • Provide directional indication if required (with stored fault magnitude and phase angles)
